Chelmsford
Chance to open his account
13:00 - Collinsbay
I rode him when he was placed on his first three starts, and he looks to have improved again when fifth in a sales race at Doncaster last time. That form makes him the standout here and he will hopefully be up to opening his account on his all-weather debut.
Should be competitive in ideal conditions
13:30 - Oh This Is Us
This is a very tight handicap but he ran well off this mark when second here over 1m last week, and stepping down in trip is not a problem. He has as good a chance as any in here, as conditions will suit and he is back to a mark off which he can be very competitive.
Good opportunity to improve on recent runs
15:30 - Global Art
He has not been running too well by the looks of it, but his Kempton run last time can be excused on account he was drawn wide and was slowly away, so that was his chance over there. But he has come down another 2lb to a mark of 72, which is very attractive when you look at some of his previous form around here. If he can break better and get a decent position from his draw in two, then he has claims, down in grade again to this 0-70 handicap.
Should be able to improve without the blinkers
16:00 - Red For All
He was tried in first-blinkers at Kempton last time but they are discarded after a below-par effort there. His earlier third over this trip at Yarmouth, off a 1lb higher mark than this, would give him a chance, though.
Capable of bouncing back into contention
16:35 - Tanita
She clearly didn't run up to her best behind Zahratty last time. She needs to bounce back from that run, but if she can reproduce her juvenile form, or her Yarmouth third for me in July, then she has a clear chance in this novice.
