Likeable gelding makes appeal at the weights

Talented performer is on a mark from which he can strike
Lingfield, 13:05 - Back Silky Wilkie @ 5/16.00
Silky Wilkie is dropping significantly in class in this 6f sprint, now 18lb below his last win, seeking a seventh career success. He finished third at 18/119.00 in a competitive York handicap in September, having finished second over this course-and-distance from a mark of 90 last winter, and has the ability to put in a bold bid from a low rating at this level if returning to form.
The ease in class should allow him to be more competitive than in his two latest run, and he has run well following a break in the past. If he's ready to go after a 95-day absence, the son of Mehmas holds leading claims in this field and makes appeal at odds of 5/16.00. He's partnered by Jack Nicholls, who further eases his weight by 5lb, putting him in with an excellent chance at the weights if he returns to form.
This appears to be a nice opportunity for a horse who possesses plenty of ability on a going day and has experience in much tougher handicaps. He has faced plenty of talented opponents in the past, featuring in Stakes company during his younger days, including in a Goodwood Group Two won by Highfield Princess.
Whilst he may be past his peak, the Karl Burke-trained contender still has talent and shouldn't be discounted, holding strong claims in this company.

Lingfield, 15:35 - Back Combustion @ 11/53.20
Progressive gelding Combustion was only narrowly denied when bidding for a fifth win in nine starts at Wolverhampton last month, and may improve for the outing following a 248-day absence.
The five-year-old shed his maiden tag last January in a Classified Stakes contest at Wolverhampton, sharing the spoils with Back Tomorrow in a dead-heat. He then won both of his subsequent runs, before making a successful start in handicap company from a rating of 55.
From a mark of 60 at Southwell in April, Combustion suffered defeat, finishing second to Noble Consort, now rated 26lb higher on a mark of 80. It was a good effort in defeat, and he remains potentially well-treated from a rating of 63, with the ceiling of his ability unknown.
Still unexposed in only his tenth career start, there could be further progression to come from the son of Harry Angel who represents Chelsea Banham, and he makes the most appeal under Joey Haynes.

Kempton, 18:00 - Back Capote's Dream E/W @ 10/111.00
Experienced nine-year-old Capote's Dream hasn't been at his best in recent runs, but did show earlier in 2025 that he retains ability, finishing a creditable fourth at odds of 14/115.00 over 6f at this track on his return to action following a 157-day absence.
The season prior, he had been narrowly denied at Doncaster from a mark of 71, following a close defeat to Knebworth in a higher class handicap at Newbury.
From his current rating of 65, Capote's Dream could be worth sticking with. He's now 12lb lower than his last winning mark. when partnered by Sean Levey in a higher class Windsor handicap, putting him in with a strong chance at the weights at this level.
Proven at the course, Capote's Dream hasn't been in a position to threaten in his most recent outings and has had some excuses for previous defeats.
From this lower mark, he makes each-way appeal for owner-trainer Tom Ward, and could return to the winners' enclosure in familiar surroundings in his 51st start.

Kempton, 18:30 - Back Popmaster @ 9/25.50
Ed Walker-trained Popmaster is still capable of being competitive at this level, and, from a mark of 94, should be able to make his presence felt at a track where he is proven.
Representing an in-form yard, the likeable grey is only 3lb above his last winning handicap mark having been successful at Listed level since, rated as highly as 109 in recent seasons.
The eight-year-old was narrowly denied over a mile here by Roi De France from a mark of 100 when sent off at 22/123.00, and has performed well behind the likes of Tiber Flow and Poker Face in Stakes company in recent years.
The gelding is a formidable horse on his day, who has plenty of course form in his favour. In his latest run over course-and-distance, he was beaten only a length-and-a-half by Mount Athos in a competitive handicap from a 6lb higher rating, therefore can pose a threat from a mark of 94 under Oisin Murphy.
With form figures of 11234 at this track, including a third at Listed level, Popmaster is one to note at a price of 9/25.50, and could add to his six career successes to date by landing a third course win.

Kempton, 19:00 - Back Rajinoora @ 5/23.50
On the back of a promising second at Chelmsford, when placing at odds of 16/117.00 in her first run for 133 days, Mehmas filly Rajinoora could take a step forward for the outing and go one better on her return to Kempton. She finished fourth in her sole previous run at the venue, slightly tight on room in the straight but staying on well into fourth behind now 85-rated Mahra's Love at odds of 12/113.00.
In her penultimate start, Rajinoora beat Miakoda to shed her maiden tag at a price of 11/26.50, and may improve for the benefit of a run as she bids to add to that sole success. She remains capable of further improvement and is still unexposed from a mark of 71, 6lb higher than her win, progressive.
There could be more to come from the Michael Bell-trained filly, who is also a selection for Timeform today, who is partnered by Oisin Murphy for the first time since her debut at Newbury. The rider has an all-time strike-rate of 20 percent for the yard on the all-weather, and could partner another of their runners to success in this contest.
