A return to the all-weather should suit Willem Twee and allow him to put in an improved effort on his latest showing at Windsor. On a mark of 89, the seven-year-old makes appeal at the weights, 17lb below his last winning mark and 4lb lower than when third to Heathcliff at Lingfield earlier this year.
Whilst he has lacked consistency over the past year, the son of Ribchester has shown he still retains ability on occasion and could make the frame if on a going day. He's well treated at the weights on the best of his form and is entitled to come on for his return to action and yard debut when last seen, capable of better.

Pontefract, 16:45 - Back Catching The Moon E/W @ 50/151.00
One of the outsiders of the field, Catching The Moon could outrun her odds in the hands of in-form rider Oisin Orr for Richard and Peter Fahey in this Listed 6f spring.
She showed great promise as a juvenile last term, chasing home Awaken on debut before recording two successive victories, including landing an Ayr Group Three.
This term, however, she has struggled to kick on but has had excuses. She was entitled to improve for her reappearance at Newbury and was reported to have bled at York when last seen.
Whilst a leap of faith is required, as well as plenty of further improvement from this filly, it's too early to give up on her in only her sixth career start and she already has proven form at a higher level.
Although she must prove she has trained on and shown progression, if things fall favourably for her a much improved effort could be in the offing and it may be worth keeping her onside at a big price.

Dropping further down in the weights, Antony Brittain-trained Tough Enough could finally strike. He's 8lb lower than when second over course-and-distance on reappearance in April, and, although he has failed to build on that promising effort since, could fare better in this drop in class.
In calmer waters here, the six-year-old warrants consideration as he's now 22lb lower than his last winning mark. In the hands of Oliver Carmichael, Tough Enough could live up to his name once again in the Southwell finale and reward the faith.

Likeable performer Vintage Clarets is one to note as he bids for an 11th career start in his 65th appearance in this 5f handicap. He's currently rated 9lb below his last winning mark with 5lb claimer Ethan Tindall in the plate, and could put in another creditable effort having been in good form recently.
At Epsom on Derby Day, the seven-year-old gelding returned to form with a brilliant second at odds of 11/112.00 to Arklow Lad, only narrowly denied on that occasion, before finishing a length third to Tricky Tell at Chester in his subsequent start.
When last seen, the son of Ardad achieved a seventh-placed finish in a 23-runner Goodwood handicap won by Twilight Calls. He should give another good account of himself here and may be worth keeping the faith in for Richard and Peter Fahey.
