This gelding beat Shannon's Quest in great style in a $7.5 maiden claimer earlier this month. Despite missing the break, he was driven in to the lead and never looked back. This was a super effort and should have a lot more to offer. Trainer Ray Ashford is in cracking form with a 34% strike rate, and the talented Curtis Kimes rides back for connections. Anything around 3.02/1 will do.

Quick Calisia is my idea of the winner of this $7.5k non-winner of three on the main track.
This filly beat Hale's Angel in a $7.5k non-winner of two last month. She was caught in a speed duel, but found plenty in the closing stages to win with authority. The runner-up has since won giving the form a nice boost. She has run creditably against better and has a class edge. Hopefully this will be another winner for the in form Ray Ashford stable. Anything around her morning line of 2.915/8 will do.
