Worcester 16:25: Flamboyant Joyeux 1pt win 12/1

Dreamsundermyfeet looks to complete a four-timer in the opening race at Worcester and has an obvious good chance to do so given the doubts over his rivals but the market hasn't missed that.

At a bigger price, I think the market has underestimated the chance of Flamboyant Joyeux despite some correction to that this morning.

While not being particularly consistent, he showed some ability when in training with Sue Smith and ran well on his first start for Adam Robson at Perth over two miles last month.

He was soon pressing for the lead before taking sole possession of the lead at the water with a circuit go. He continued in front until being headed at the last in the back straight and was then tightened up on the final bend, causing him to drop back into third entering the home straight. While he couldn't put in another challenge to the leaders, he kept plugging on under pressure to finish fifth.

The trip was on the sharp side for Flamboyant Joyeux and he looked to be edging left at times so the return to a longer trip and a left-handed track should suit him today and he's been dropped 1lb to 101, which is 2lb lower than when he ran well in defeat at Catterick behind Discko Des Plages last season.

This is quicker ground than he's often run on but he did run fairy well on good ground in a hurdle at Sedgefield and won a maiden point on good to firm ground so hopefully there won't be an issue on that front.

As already stated, this race is full of horses that have questions to answer and he has fewer doubts over him than most. Any 10/1 or bigger appeals.
