Rory McIlroy is the favourite to win next week's US PGA Championship after sealing his first tour win for 18 months at the Wells Fargo Championship.
He was a 21.020/1 shot at the outset at Quail Hollow where he held off competition from second-placed Abraham Ancer, with Viktor Hovland and Keith Mitchell tied for third. The Irishman said he thought he benefited from the presence of spectators at the North Carolina course.
The year's second Major starts on 20 May at the Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina - where McIlroy won the US PGA to claim his first Major in 2012 - and he's 12.523/2 to lift the Wanamaker Trophy for the third time. His previous win came in 2015.
Victory at Quail Hollow saw McIlroy climb from 15th to seventh in the rankings. He tends to thrive a the same venues repeatedly and Sunday's win followed victories at the North Carolina course in 2010 and '15.
World number one Dustin Johnson 16.531/2, who finished tied second at the US PGA in 2020, comes next in the betting.
Bryson DeChambeau 16.531/2, who climbed to fourth in the rankings with a tied ninth-placed finish on Sunday, is the same price.
Former-champion Justin Thomas 17.016/1, John Rahm 18.017/1 and Jordan Spieth 19.537/2 are also leading contenders while 2020 winner Collin Morikawa is 36.035/1.
