Scheffler will have been disappointed to finish 14th at US PGA Championship, where he was defending his title. But three consecutive seconds prior to that, and the fact he was victorious here last year, indicate this could be when he returns to winning ways.
He couldn't could he? Surely Aaron Rai wil be too emotionally and phyiscally drained after winning the US PGA to triumph again this week. The 31-year-old finished fifth prior to Aronimink and, having finished fourth here in 2024, could be worth backing.
The Korean finished second here three years ago, so has some useful course form to draw on. His last couple of outings have been disappointing by his standards but before that he was fourth in Miami and third at the RBC Heritage, so a bounce back to form would be no surprise.
Course Form Picks
The American tends to enjoy playing here, finishing fourth last year and runner-up in 2022. A top 20 at the US PGA was a decent effort and, back at a favoured venue, he could be in contention.
The Canadian missed the cut last year but perhaps that was down to the pressure that comes with being defending champion. That's right, two years ago Pendrith triumphed. He hasn't trouble the upper echelons of a leaderboard since January but fond memories of this Texas venue could help him.
A huge price for a player who was fifth here last year and 12th in 2024. True he has more MCs on his scorecard than he'd like in 2026 but he was 11th at the Farmers back in February and his scores here signal some affinity for TPC Craig Ranch.
