The PGA Tour makes one of its rare trips to the state of Kentucky for this week's Barbasol Championship.
This will be the fifth staging of the tournament, and the third to be played at Keene Trace.
The first three instalments were held in Alabama, before switching to the Kentucky town of Nicholasville in 2018. Last year's event did not go ahead because of the pandemic.
Located around seven miles south of Lexington city centre, Keene Trace is a rolling parkland course designed by Arthur Hills and opened 34 years ago.
With Bentgrass greens and tree-lined fairways, water comes into play on six holes, while both previous champions figured highly in the Greens in Regulation stats.
Defending champ Jim Herman actually topped this category, while the 2018 winner Troy Merritt was ranked fifth.
Traditionally, American-based PGA Tour events that are staged the same week as The Open Championship struggle to attract big names. And this week is no exception.
On the tee
The highest-ranked golfer in the field is world No 99 Charl Schwartzel.
Latest odds for Barbasol Championship
Needless to say, few of those teeing-up have any recent good form to speak of.
Possibly the best run of form belongs to Irishman Seamus Power whose last five starts on the PGA Tour reads: 9-19-19-8-8.
This impressive sequence has taken him from No 438 in the world to 210, in a little over two months.
This is one of those weeks when opportunity knocks for anyone who can discover their confidence and form, in such a mediocre field.
Among those Korn Ferry Tour players hoping for a good few days on the PGA Tour is Germany's Stephan Jaeger.
Jaeger has stood on the podium three times this year, including once as a winner.
Latest odds for this week's Open Championship at Royal St George's
And two other non-Americans eyeing up this week as being a good chance to register a maiden victory on the PGA Tour are Tom Lewis and Wilco Nienaber.
Ten years ago, Lewis was the leading amateur in The Open Championship at Royal St George's, since when he's won twice on the European Tour, and once each on the Korn Ferry Tour and Challenge Tour.
A victory this week is certainly not beyond his capabilities, nor that of young South African Nienaber.
The big-hitting 21-year-old will be keen to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Garrick Higgo who made his PGA Tour breakthrough last month.
