Wyndham Championship 2026: Dave Tindall's each-way picks from 45/1 to 50/1

Introduction to the Wyndham Championship

The PGA Tour regular season comes to a close with the annual Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club.

This is the final chance for players to book a place in the top 70 points earners and secure entry for the first leg of the playoffs.

Everyone from 61st to 125th makes the trip to North Carolina with recent 3M Open winner Jackson Koivun currently occupying 70th spot. Mac Meissner (71) leads the list of players on the outside looking in.

Sedgefield, designed by Donald Ross, is a short par 70 measuring 7,131 yards.

Driving Accuracy trumps Driving Distance when looking at past leaderboards while correlating courses include Waialae CC (Sony Open), TPC Deere Run (John Deere Classic), TPC River Highlands (Travelers Championship), Detroit Golf Club (Rocket Classic) and East Lake (Tour Championship).

The last four winning scores reflect the fact that this is a birdie-fest: -22 (Cam Young), -18 (Aaron Rai), -20 (Lucas Glover) and -20 (Tom Kim).

Wyndham Championship Bet 1 - Keegan Bradley each-way @ 50/151.00

Lots of elite golfers have a winless year or two in even their recent records so that's why we need to give Keegan Bradley some real credit.

The 2025 Ryder Cup skipper has won in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

And with this being August, perhaps it's the most likely month of the year for Bradley to continue the sequence.

The 40-year-old has banked three of his wins in August. That includes the 2011 US PGA Championship and the 2024 BMW Championship.

The other victories have come in late May, June (twice), September and October so he's definitely one who comes on strong later in the year rather than starts it with a flourish.

Bradley has dropped some good clues that he could win in 2026, with a 14th place in the Travelers and 15th at last week's Rocket Classic.

In his last four starts the American's SG: Approach rankings show 1st (Open Championship), 5th (Rocket Classic) and 9th (Travelers) so he's been striking his irons superbly.

He's been an infrequent visitor to this event but lines up this time needing something to get inside the top 70 (he's 72nd) and book his spot in the playoffs.

Two years ago Bradley was 12th with a round to go after middle rounds of 64-67 but, in truth, plenty of winners here didn't have immaculate course form.

Perhaps a good bank of results on correlating courses counts for just as much and Bradley has two wins at TPC River Highlands and another at Donald Ross's Aronimink.

Wyndham Championship Bet 2: Michael Kim each-way @ 50/151.00

Michael Kim's increased profile over the last couple of years isn't just down to an excellent 'X' account revealing life behind the scenes on his PGA Tour journey.

It's also been due to his run of strong form which has often come in batches.

For a long time, Kim was the guy who won the John Deere Classic by eight shots in 2018 and then kind of vanished.

But more recently his career has been shaped by banks of sustained form: four top 20s in six starts from April to June in 2024, a run of 5-30-12-11 in the Fall Series events later that year and an excellent sequence of 2-13-13-6-4 across February and May in 2025.

After a little dip in 2025, Kim then found some form around the playoffs as he took 10th at August's BMW Championship and two starts later flew to Europe to land the Open de France.

I point the above patterns out as if he wins this week, no-one can say Kim didn't absolutely telegraph it.

In the last fortnight he's shot just the 16th sub-60 round in PGA Tour history - a 59 at the 3M Open where he finished 10th - and backed that up with laps of 65-67-67-69 for eighth in the Rocket Classic (both courses correlate with this one as mentioned above).

As you'd expect his overall record in this event is patchy (reflecting his career) but there's a fifth place in 2023 which includes a Saturday 62.

Given that it's Kim, we also know exactly what he's thinking and feeling and I love this latest quote: "I wasn't sure if I was going to play Wyndham but after this week, there's a real chance to make a run to the playoffs. There's a Korean saying "when the tide is right, you ROW". The tide is solid right now so it's time to freaking row. Let's get to East Lake."

With his putter hot, Kim is well worth following at 50s (10 Places).

Wyndham Championship Bet 3: Davis Thompson each-way @ 45/146.00

The planets look aligned for Davis Thompson this week.

At 81st in the FedEx Cup standings he has the perfect incentive to make a late move for the playoffs.

And this looks an ideal venue for him to make the leap.

In the last three years, Thompson has finished 22nd (2023), 12th (2024) and 11th (2025). His 54-hole positions in the last two were third and seventh.

In Thompson's last eighth starts on Donald Ross courses, he has eight top 25s. Five of those are top 12s and include second place at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and ninth in the US Open at Pinehurst.

Thompson's breakthrough first PGA Tour win came at the correlating TPC Deere Run when shooting 28-under and one of the keys to that victory was that he was in great form after that ninth at Pinehurst followed by second place in the Rocket Mortgage.

It's a similiar story this time after seventh at the 3M Open and eighth at the Rocket Classic over the last two weeks.

An uptick in his putting stats (10th SGP) in Detroit last time is encouraging and looks the final piece of the jigsaw for a player who ranks 20th for Tee to Green this season.

In last year's Wyndham, Thompson needed to two-putt the last from 46 feet to make the playoffs. He failed but that heartbreak could act as fuel this time.
