Park Ji-Sung is a South Korean footballer who was born in Goheung in 1981. The midfielder is currently on loan to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands from Queens Park Rangers.

He is best known for his seven-year spell at Manchester United from 2005-2012 where he won the Premier League on four occasions, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Park began his professional career at Kyoto Purple Sanga in 2000. They were in the J. League Division Two at the time. In 2001 he helped the Japanese club gain promotion as champions of their division. They were also successful in the Emperor's Cup that year.
During the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan, the South Korean stood out for his national side. He was able to score the winner against Portugal in his side's final group game to earn them the win, helping them advance into the knockout stages of the competition.
Following the international tournament, his former national team boss Guus Hiddink joined PSV Eindhoven in Holland. He made Park one of his first signings at his new club.
In his two-year spell for PSV, the South Korean won the Eredivisie twice and the KNVB Cup once. He played a big part in the club's progress into the semi-final of the Champions League in the 2004/05 season, scoring in the first leg of their defeat to Milan. At the end of that campaign, he was amongst the nominees for the 2005 UEFA Best Forward award.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson signed Park for £4million in July 2005 which made him only the second East Asian player to feature for the English club.
From 2007 to 2009, the midfielder and United won three consecutive Premier League titles. They were also successful in Europe in 2008 as the Red Devils beat Chelsea in the final of the Champions League in Russia.
Park also played in the final of the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup where United defeated LDU Quito of Ecuador 1-0 to win the trophy in Yokohama, Japan.
After over 200 appearances for the Manchester team, the South Korea international signed for Queens Park Rangers in 2012. They were then relegated after his first season with them. That freed Park up to move out on loan to his former club PSV Eindhoven where he is currently playing in the Eredivisie once again.
