Multiples allow you to combine bets - on a single event or across several - and there are more ways of doing so than ever on the Betfair Sportsbook. Here's how...
"There are more ways of placing a multiple bet than ever and more markets to get involved in."
If you want to place a multiple - or, to use the old school term, "accumulator" or "acca"- bet then you need to use the Betfair Sportsbook.
There are more ways of placing a multiple bet than ever and more markets to get involved in.
Placing your multiple bet
At the top of the home page you'll see links to most popular sports, including football and horse racing. If you can't find what you're looking for click the A-Z menu at the bottom of the page for a full list of options.
Once you've found the event, choose your selections by simply clicking the odds, just as you would for a single bet, and your betslip will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.
Once you add another bet, the slip will create your multiple.
You then have the option of choosing your bet type - double, treble, fourfold and so forth, with each-way options where relevant - after which you need to add your stake amount.
Your potential winnings will appear.
If you are happy with your selection tick the 'Confirm Bets' box and then click on 'Place Bets'.
You will be able to access any Multiple bets placed by clicking the 'Multiples' tab in 'My Bets'. And for the latest multiples tips, head over to the dedicated section here on Betting.Betfair.
Horse Racing Multiples
There are a number of ways you can place a multiple bet on horse racing. These include a 'trixie' - which comprises three selections and four bets; three doubles and a treble - 'patent', which is made up of three singles, three doubles and one treble and a 'yankee'- six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold.
Multiple bets on one match with Bet Builder
Bet Builder is a new feature that allows you to place a multiple bet within a single football match from a variety of markets.
If you're confident of the outcome of a match, but don't want to back a team at short odds, it's a perfect way to enhance the price by adding another leg in a different market.
For example, as Manchester City cruised to the Premier League title in 2020/21, backing them to win and under 3.5 goals in the match was a profitable way to bet on Pep Guardiola's men.
You needn't stop there, though, and can add more bets - on goal scorers, correct score and much more - to get bigger odds.
