She is pitched in on a fair mark for her handicap debut this afternoon and will be tough to beat
Timeform's SmartPlays team were back on track with a winner yesterday. Read on for this afternoon's best bets...
Dubai Dynamo had plenty in hand when scoring over C&D nine days ago and can win the Wilmot-Smith Memorial Handicap at Ripon(15:40) for successive seasons. His victory here last time was right up there with his best form and now is the best time to catch him. He is a confident pick, particularly as Ruth Carr's runners are in excellent form at present.
At Lingfield, Delft (16:20) is pitched in on a fair mark for her handicap debut and will be tough to beat. She is nicely bred and confirmed the promise of her debut when scoring in a 7f maiden at Wolverhampton last December. She can be forgiven her final start, two weeks later, when struggling to make up ground from the back over C&D, and she is likely to be on her way to better things. The Noseda/Moore patnership have a 33% strike-rate around this track.
Captain Brown was a winner on the flat for Sir Mark Prescott Bt and can claim his first success over hurdles at Huntingdon tonight (19:55). The four-year-old has improved with each start over timber and suggested he could win a race of this nature when second at Towcester recently. He is heading the right way and comes from the Evan Williams yard, responsible for three of the winners on Fakenham's card last Sunday.
