Bonville Jo (T5), who possesses pace in abundance, looks an interesting contender in Romford's S5 contest run over 575 metres and due underway at 20:19.

Vital Guest (T1), a sluggish starter who is lightly raced over the six-bend journey, may well have too much ground to make up on the final circuit. Although Peter Payne's bitch is expected to start as one of the leading fancies, the unreliable daughter of Tims Crow, who is currently on an 11-race losing run, will probably make greater appeal to layers.

Escapologist (T2), an ex-Irish greyhound, picked up his first win for eight starts in an A7 event last time. With Dave Mullins' stayer more than capable of lying up with the front-runners early doors, a decent run cannot be ruled out.

Pass The Duchey (T3), a former Walthamstow grader, may well be open to further improvement following just the single outing at this level. However, Peter Payne's veteran, who will be staying on when some of his rivals have cried enough, looks exposed nowadays following 16 successive defeats.

Arona Rock (T4), a one-time A2 performer at Yarmouth, boasts a phenomenal nine wins at this level from 21 starts. Martyn Wiley's charge, one of the oldest dogs at the track to be still doing battle, should be producing the goods at the finish.

Bonville Jo (T5), who looks most likely to set the fractions, is still lightly raced over the trip. With nothing to find on the calculated clock, Maxine Locke's likeable bitch can set the standard.

Ellas Girl (T6), a tough and consistent greyhound, may well give T5 something to think about in the opening phases. However, when the going gets tough, Peter Payne's daughter of Special Trick, who chases a first win in nine races, fails to get going.

Leannes Faith looks interesting in S3

Leannes Faith (T3), who boasts a 50 per cent winning strike-rate in the grade, looks set to make an impact in the S3 contest run over 575 metres and due underway at 21:25.

Deelak (T1), who should be well suited by the switch to the rails slot, may struggle to lead in this company. With Dave Mullins' contender currently struggling to break through the 37-seconds barrier on the calculated clock, a lay should prove to be the correct choice.

Randals Linda (T2), who was A7 class at best over four bends, has failed to improve through the grades since being sent over the longer trip. Capable of a sharp exit, Maggie Lucas' in-and-out bitch, who made all the running to beat T1 the other day, has more on her plate.

Leannes Faith (T3), who is set to have only her third race in 2007, looks the one they have to beat. Unlikely to be troubled by the draw, Paul Young's likeable bitch, who posted a sizzling 36.61 in a trial, should go close in her bid to land her fourth race from seven starts at this level.

Black Shadow (T4), a fast-away September 04 whelp, who posted a fast 36.46 in the grade in December, would very nearly win with a reproduction of that effort here. However, with Martyn Wiley's inconsistent individual currently enduring a seven-race losing spell, the son of Droopys Woods cannot be recommended with confidence.

Inagh Two (T5), the winner of his last two races at the grade, has been beating better class rivals in recent weeks. Dropped in standard, Peter Payne's charge should be in the mix.

Girls Weekend (T6), a consistent sort, is generally thereabouts in her races. However, with plenty to prove on the clock, Paul Young's tardy starter needs to improve again to figure in the finish.

Postle Supreme set for big run in A1

Postle Supreme (T3), a promising pup who comes here unbeaten after three career outings, should give a good account in the penultimate A1 contest run over 400 metres and due underway at 22:13.

Droopys Gervais (T1), a former Open racer, who boasts a 25 per cent winning strike-rate at this level, cannot be discarded. With Paul Young's fast finisher likely to appreciate the switch to the red jacket, the May 04 whelp should be doing his best work in the latter phases.

Southlodge Spy (T2), a lightly campaigned sort, has been sent off as one of the outsiders in each of his last five races. However, a six-week break may have freshened up Maxine Locke's challenger, and a scan of the pre-race market should offer clues as to the October 04's fitness.

Postle Supreme (T3), who flies from the lids, is expected to reach the turn unscathed. Jim Reynolds' highly promising son of Top Honcho, unbeaten in three lifetime starts, should once again attract plenty of support.

Wilcox Casino (T4), who has his first run for more than three months, is a difficult contender to assess as a result. There is no doubt that Peter Payne's youngster, who has tackled better opposition, boasts a touch of class, but lack of match practice has to be a slight worry for backers.

Lockwood Fossa (T5), a decent individual in his own right, appears to have gone off the boil in recent weeks. With Maggie Lucas' charge having recorded only one success in his last 14 starts, backers may well look elsewhere for the winner.

Bonville Tex (T6), a highly-tried Open racer, bids to make a winning reappearance following a near seven-month absence. With Maxine Locke's ageless veteran having posted a fast 24.45 in a recent trial, a surprise success cannot be ruled out.
