Cranham Girl looks set for a tilt at the top graders following an impressive success in an A2 contest at Romford on Saturday night.
Quickly into her stride posting a career-best 3.70 on the sectional clock, Jim Reynolds' progressive pup proceeded to make every yard of the running to record an impressive three-lengths victory over Maxine Locke's heavily backed Orange Snow in 24.63 - her best calculated time to date.
This performance was made to look even more commendable when Alison Ingram's Clounts Woods, who also made every post a winning one, could only manage 24.80 on the clock when landing the other A2 event on the card.
The June 05 whelp, who began her career on a winning note in a modest A7 contest just two months ago, is now arguably one of the most progressive greyhounds to be running at the London Road circuit.
The winner of five races from only nine lifetime starts, the likeable Cranham Girl, who boasts a superb blend of fast pace with a potent finishing kick, may well be set to trouble the best sooner rather than later.
