Friday night is Romford Open night, and while the Maiden final looks just too competitive, Darrell Williams has found a couple of runners that take his eye, including a dog who's won 5/6 over tonight's chosen trip.
King Lee is hard to oppose in the 2208 Romford this evening as he bids to further extend his excellent record over the Essex track's 400m trip, which currently stands at five out of six. It might have been a perfect six from six had he not found trouble twice over last week, but the switch to a wider draw can put him swiftly back on track this evening.
It's his consistency at the traps that has proved key for the Liz Mc Nair trained runner, who broke the sprint clock at Wimbledon just last week, and has seen him clock 360 splits in all his Romford runs bar last week's surprising slip up. Take anything at [2.2] or bigger.
Having successfully argued a case for the highly experienced hurdler Freedom Man against up and coming novices last week, I'm probably asking for trouble in taking him on with a Springbok semi-finalist tonight.
However, Little Spark looks exceptionally well drawn in the 2032 Romford, and while his rival admittedly found stacks of trouble last week, he did in fairness come out on top against Freedom Man seven days ago. With another novice Glenwood Dream drawn inside Freedom Man, who does seem to find the trouble spots a little too often for comfort at Romford anyway, Little Spark can take advantage. Look for [5.0] or higher.
