"Back in May, Fat Man Dan was winning A1 contests in 24.14 and 24.21 seconds stopping the sectional clock in 3.72/3.74 in the process. He has been bulked in his last three races, and before that ran well in defeat to be 1.5 lengths behind a winner having shown early pace. I can see him making all here and he should not be opposed today. Take anything over [4.0]."
Ed has selected 4 winners from just 6 selections this week - including a winner at Hove yesterday that was available at 12 on Betfair (SP'd 5-1). And he thinks he's found a couple of belters at Romford this afternoon.....
We travel to Romford today in our quest for BAGS winners. Their best race on the card is the top graded contest at 2.47pm where the orange jacketed Fat Man Dan is selected to come back to form. The August 2005 whelp has a decent record here in A1s; he's seven from 18, and has won 15 races in total. He isn't a youngster, but retains his form well and his sectionals suggest he will lead trap four and trap six into the bend - if he can clear these two he should be able to post a time somewhere near his recent 24.53 seconds which could be enough to secure the prize here.

The penultimate race on the fourteen race card sees Rusheen Boss try his luck in an A4 contest. This September 2004 is on a long losing run of twelve races and has not been successful in any of his 22 runs in this grade. He simply has to be laid this afternoon at anything under [5.0]. I can't see how he will get a run in between two better starters yet the Racing Post choose him as their alternative to their selection in trap four, which means his price may be okay (not to big) to get involved in a lay. His times are relatively standard and I would be amazed if he were to win this afternoon.
