"He's now won 14 from 60 career starts and is due another one soon. As long as he doesn’t get too far behind early on I can see him powering up the long Newcastle straight to catch one of the early paced dogs near the line. Back him at anything over [5.0]."
Ed Nicholson finds two at Newcastle this afternoon....
Winning Bond disappointed us last week when running in a six bend handicap race, but at Newcastle today he reverts back to four bend graded fare (A3) and I will give him a chance to atone for last weeks average run.
He wears the black jacket in trap four this afternoon and has a nice make up from which to operate in Newcastle's 4.47pm this afternoon. He's now won 14 from 60 career starts and is due another one soon. As long as he doesn't get too far behind early on I can see him powering up the long Newcastle straight to catch one of the early paced dogs near the line. Back him at anything over [5.0].
Meanwhile later on in the card a dog I have been following for sometime lines up in the A2 contest at 5.58pm. Up Tempo is a dog that can get left behind early in his races, but if he can secure a blemish free run around the first two bends, I could see him staging a late rally to secure victory. He is a real fighter, but needs things to go his way at crucial stages of any four bend race at this class. He has the times to win this, and there isn't a dog in the race with more scope than him as he is only having his 26th race today. Take anything over [3.5].
