"The trap six dog was recently downgraded from A7 despite leading all bar the line in 24.26 and anything like that time would see her with a first class chance this afternoon."
Ed Nicholson travels to Crayford and Newcastle for today's BAGS bankers!
Blackhouse Simba is well housed in trap six in Newcastle's top grade A1 contest at 21.22pm, and she should be able to launch a blistering early pace initiative. She has a very decent 29.09 to her name and if she can get past trap five in the run up to the first bend, I can't see anything coming from behind her in this field.
She recently posted a 4.78 seconds sectional and led around the first two turns before running out of gas well before the home straight - but with nothing likely to trouble early on today I can see her turning for home with a healthy lead and although the trap three runner would be a huge danger if turning in second, I can't see any of the other dogs finishing on her today.
She has recently been contesting handicap races from scratch and is used to passing dogs, but she is also adept at front front running tactics so the fact she can do it either way is a real plus here. I can see her leading and her six bend stamina can see her home today. Take anything over [4.0].
Crayford is not a track I tip at regularly as it is a tight track and the early pace battle to the bend usually goes a long way to deciding things. But I fancy Sheepwalk Blaze in their final event at 6.11pm this afternoon.
The trap six dog was recently downgraded from A7 despite leading all bar the line in 24.26 and anything like that time would see her with a first class chance this afternoon.
She exploded from the traps last time to record a speedy 3.59 seconds sectional and although I doubt she'll record as fast a sectional time today, I can see still her leading her field down the back straight. If that was to be the case, she would take an awful lot of beating. Take anything over [3.5].
