Daily Bags Bet: Let Blake be your Lady today!

Hove's BAGS meeting this afternoon looks a typically competitive meeting, but Ed Nicholson, whose NAP won yesterday, thinks he's found two greyhounds worthy of a bet there...and he's particularly sweet on one of them as he explains......
"Last time Blakes Lady dropped down from A2 and finished a running on never nearer 2nd in a relatively good 30.26 seconds. He has gone quicker than that – 30.11 seconds – and either of these times would arguably be good enough to take this event."
Our attention turns to Hove this afternoon and there's one I'm particularly sweet on at 3.48pm.
Blakes Lady has not won for 18 runs, but his overall record in this A3 grade is 4 wins from 6 runs, and having won nine races in total he seems reliable enough.

Despite being a dog that does run on, he could conceivably lead the outside traps here, and if he were to beat traps five and six out of the first turn he would be in a great position to mow down the likely early leaders on the rails. The danger could be trap three, who if leading could be difficult to catch, but I would be fairly confident that given a trouble free passage Blakes Lady would be too strong for either trap one or trap two close home.
Blakes Lady is a decent bet on a difficult BAGS cad and should be backed at anything over [3.5].
The meeting kicks off at 2.08pm and Trixiebelle Blue looks to have been given a chance of winning her first race in ten. She is in the striped jacket, and is the only wide seed in the race. Having won 8/43 A6 contests, she is hardly hiding any talent under a bushel, but this is her grade, and the draw here gives her a decent chance of turning that all important first corner nearer the front than in her previous three or four races.
There's a chance she may lie in second or third place off the first corner, and as she does stay, she may be able to rattle home late on up the long straight. She will also be a big price, and I'm hoping we can get 8.0 or 9.0 on her this afternoon - but back her at anything over [7.0].
