'BORNA' CAN MAKE FULL USE OF AN IDEAL ARRANGEMENT
BELLE VUE 19.55

BORNA STAR (T1) is gradually showing signs of a revival after spending April and the majority of May on the sidelines. She has a perfectly suitable arrangement this evening to return to winning ways. With her neighbour, 'Come On Ruby', liable to take a middlish course, she has a prime location to operate from and her second-bend kick can prove the decisive factor.

COME ON RUBY (T2) has been running well since returning from seasonal rest. She has stacks of sprinting speed at her disposal but, as ever, requires a slick getaway to make full use of it. If she is to land the prize it will be in trap-to-line fashion.

ROUGH CULTURE (T3) is another who is firmly locked in that must-lead-to-succeed bracket. She throws in the towel if beaten to the punch therefore cannot afford to make the slightest hiccup at the start. The main question for supporters...can she take care of 'Come On Ruby' on the run-up?

EVERILGATE SUZZY (T4) isn't the most predictable character but she is capable of scoring at generous odds when everything goes according to schedule. She will be looking for a forward position during the preliminaries and slips through the gears once in full rhythm along the back straight.

TRACEYS OMEGA (T5) found the tempo rather hot in A4 class last Friday (registered an A7 victory prior) and the same may apply this evening, unless she wins the important battle for early supremacy.

LEMON TURBO (T6) is a determined fellow, refuses to throw in the towel whatever the circumstances, but he has yet to get the better of A4 opposition. If he is going to have any kind of say on the outcome he needs to slip into turbo gear as quickly as possible.

'SMUDGERS' OPENING SPEED THE KEY TO SUCCESS
BELLE VUE 20.25

IMPACT (T1) found the going a little tough in A3 and the Racing Chief takes appropriate action. His trapping technique isn't the greatest but he doesn't take long to engage top speed. He takes the economical route by steering very close to the inside rails.

SMUDGERS PRIDE (T2) has got terrific early speed at his disposal and his plan will be to quickly put 'daylight' between himself and the opposition. He comes up for oxygen as the contest draws to a conclusion therefore will have to show lots of resilience to repel boarders.

PHANTOM KATIE (T3) missed out on the medal front last week which is a rarity. She packs solid speed from pillar-to-post, although she often finds the odd spot of bother en-route. If she does manage to edge ahead it will take a huge effort from one of the others to deny her the prize money.

GRANGEPARK TIGER (T4) has been suffering from that dreaded double...tardy starts and bother on the bends. Tonight's ease in grade is the best possible incentive! It would be very interesting if he nipped out in front and put the pressure on those astern. Anyone looking for a value alternative need look no further.

BECKHAMS BLISS (T5) is beginning to realise what the game is all about. She dipped below the 29-second barrier for the first time last Thursday in her narrow-margin triumph in A5 grade. She is young (October 2005 whelp), upwardly mobile and it shouldn't be too long before she adds an A4 credit to her tally.

RANGERS EURO (T6) offers the late punch in the event. She will be sweeping through on the wide outside from the second last corner. Being the lone wide seed, she will enjoy plenty of elbowroom and any midfield scrimmaging will be severely punished.

'JUDES' CAN CONTINUE HER PROGRESS THROUGH THE GRADES
BELLE VUE 21.55

JUDGE KENNY (T1) compensated his faithful supporters last Friday following a series of expensive reversals. He is a dangerous force when he escapes smartly and has to be considered a serious contender for top honours. The upgrade shouldn't faze him, especially from this ideal launch pad.

HOLBROOK EDDIE (T2) likes to be in the driving seat from the word 'go'. The first-phase battle with 'Judge Kenny', for the right to dictate terms on the inside, is bound to have a bearing on the outcome. Time-wise you can set your stopwatch by 'Eddie'.

OYLEGATE EAMON (T3) has trailed the field on the last two occasions which hardly fills one with confidence. A word of warning! Do not be put off. He got no run whatsoever in either of those races and the form is misleading. He scored at this level of combat previously in front-running fashion.

JUDES BRANDY (T4) is in the best form of her life at the moment (missed the frame just once in her last six excursions). She boasts that lethal combination of opening speed and staying power. If she gets her take-off spot on, 'Judes' could be in total control of the situation by the halfway stage.

CASH IS MAGIC (T5) always looks dangerous but when the chips are down fails to produce the goods. Trapping has never been one of his stronger points but he comes home with a vengeance. If only he had that vital ingredient...killer instinct!

GIN PIT JIG (T6) moves higher in the pecking order following his last-gasp burglary four days ago. His tactics will be no different here but obviously, among these tougher rivals, will find it much more difficult to claw back the ground.
