Funny Margaret (Trap 4) - 19.36 Doncaster
FUNNY MARGARET (Trap 4, 19.36) didn't need to replicate her trial exploits when making a winning debut on these shores 3 days ago, breaking swiftly and holding on by a head when challenged off the last bend. However, Diane Cross' charge arguably deserved her effort marking up on that occasion, not least with her nearest pursuer arriving on the back of a host of consistent efforts in similar company. A low-mileage July 19 whelp, she may well be up to building on that success and with the draw in the black jacket looking useful once more, all looks set fair for another bold bid off the front.
Millhouse Linda (Trap 1) - 19:56 Doncaster
Doncaster's 19.56 rates an intriguing open race and in what may prove a match in our book, Newcastle raider MILLHOUSE LINDA (Trap 1) is narrowly selected to come out on top on the back of some encouraging recent C&D trials. Still to truly bring her trapping boots to the table around this venue, the daughter of Droopys Jet is a strong-running sort who should find room to operate on the rails (inside an inexperienced pup) and we're hopeful she can make full use of that berth on the fence and, with sound claims on expected final time, all looks set fair for a big run.
Ballymac Sirocco (Trap 1) - 20:17 Doncaster
The Doncaster 450 Standard comes up at 20.17 and with a number lacking course knowledge, it may pay to side with local BALLYMAC SIROCCO (Trap 1) to dispel a couple of lesser efforts in top grade company and resume winning ways. Crowding has put paid to his chances of late but in truth his latest run 11 days ago should have blown the cobwebs away and with a good break drawn in red, he may well be up to bossing matters from lid rise.
