Having scored with ease 4 starts ago LAVAN PEPPER (Trap 2, 19.16) faced with stern assignments in A2 company on his next 2 starts but very much announced himself still in good form when finishing a close third in A3 7 days ago, challenging near the line. Surprisingly dropped a grade on the back of that, he holds excellent claims on expected final time and we're hopeful he can prove too strong for tonight's rivals.

Swift Acquit (Trap 3) - 19:51 Yarmouth

A winner in this grade of A2 in August, SWIFT ACQUIT (Trap 3, 19.51) lost little caste in defeat and was arguably deserving of having her effort marked up when finishing a close-up third in top-grade company next time. A C&D trial subsequently should have blown the cobwebs away and having been eased back down a peg on the graded ladder, she's fancied to be on the front end from lid rise and should prove tough to contain.

Dominance (Trap 4) - 20:21 Yarmouth

Our final selection comes at 20.21, top grade A1 action taking centre stage and one who ran a cracker at open level last week in the shape of DOMINANCE (Trap 4) is fancied to come out on top. Crowded early, she was noted doing good late work to go down by ½ length on that occasion and, with her previous exploits in the East Anglian Derby reading well in the context of this race, all looks set fair for a big run.
