Podger Fitz (Trap 5) - 18.26 Yarmouth
This is a low-grade affair and in our book PODGER FITZ (Trap 5, 18.26) looks to hold a solid chance to double his career tally. A winner in A8 company on his penultimate start, he wasn't disgraced in a race won in a fast time for this class last time. Tonight's contest is distinctly lacking unexposed sorts and with sound claims of leading out wide, he really should be up to making his mark again.
Antigua Socks (Trap 1) - 19:34 Yarmouth
Heat two of the East Anglian Derby gets underway at 19.34 and we're hopeful ANTIGUA SOCKS (Trap 1) can trap fast out of the red vest and book his place in round two. Mark Wallis' charge hasn't been seen to best effect of late around Romford, but his C&D trial around here was slick, not least given he moved wide at the second bend (typical first time around here). A repeat of his 5.37 split on the rails should see him firmly in the hunt for the lead approaching the first bend and with progress expected from last week's run, he can come out on top.
Bockos Jonjo (Trap 3) - 20:36 Yarmouth
BOCKOS JONJO (Trap 3, 20.36) quickly established himself as a classy operator upon arriving on these shores last year, registering multiple victories around Romford's 400-metre circuit and has continued the good work this year, including over sprint trips. Versatile as regards trap draw, he's worthy of stepping back up in trip now and with his trial exploits reading well in the context of this affair, he's fancied to trap fast and make every post a winning one.
