Timeform highlight the best bets at Sheffield and Newcastle on Thursday.
Roedhelmjellytot (Trap 2) - 14.19 Sheffield
ROEDHELMJELLYTOT (Trap 2, 14.19) remains winless over the standard four-bend trip at Sheffield, but she went close on a couple of occasions during April, those exploits standing up to close scrutiny in this line-up. Recent efforts have been marred by trouble in-running, not least when fourth in this grade seven days ago. There is no doubting Danny Gomersall's charge can break a lot better than she did last time and if escaping early trouble, is fancied to be seen in a much better light.
Alnwick Biscuit (Trap 5) - 19:09 Newcastle
ALNWICK BISCUIT (Trap 5, 19.09) posted a career-best display when opening his account in A7 class on his penultimate start, getting on the bunny early and not looking in any danger. In truth, everything went wrong up at this level next time, missing the break and meeting with trouble late on. The son of Laughill Blake is easily forgiven that effort and from what looks a good make-up in the orange jacket, we're expecting a much better showing.
Patterdale Eli (Trap 6) - 19:58 Newcastle
Following a facile success in A4 company at the start of last month, PATTERDALE ELI (Trap 6, 19.58) was hit with a double-grade hike but in fairness has often acquitted himself with credit. Recent efforts haven't seen him to best effect, never a threat behind a fast winner for the grade of A3 last time. However, operating as the sole wide seed, this looks a much more manageable assignment for Harry Burton's charge, a repeat of his 29.20 effort four starts back likely to see him firmly in the hunt for the gold medal.
