14:00 - Only two places to aim at in this opening maiden, but it's a race that lacks depth and the relatively high standard set by Lady Malet should be enough to see her make the first two. She's done all her racing to date on the all-weather and should be better suited by seven furlongs than six judging by her pedigree. If you're particularly keen to avoid the ignominy of a first-leg exit then Peak Storm is your best backup option, but the official recommendation is to bank.
14:35 - A three-runner handicap which contains a couple of forward-going sorts in Ashamaly and Hazza The Jazza, as well as Red Gift. Still, the last-named has shown enough in patches to suggest he can't be completely ruled out, so we really have to include him as well as his two rivals.
15:10 - A lowly sprint handicap in which it's impossible to ignore the claims of Hab Reeh, who has run well on two of three starts over C&D so far this year and had even better form (albeit on fibresand) looking back. Second in is Miserere Me, who has put together a couple of good efforts of late and does normally hold it together for a few runs once she gets going. She also has plenty of experience over this tight C&D.
15:40 - Another race in which you can't place your full trust in any of the runners, so we're going to have to make the best of it. Chester Deelyte has slipped to her last winning mark and gave an indication she's coming back to form when fifth over C&D last time. She was running well around this time last year and rates as one of the better prospects in this race. Second selection Vhujon is more of a risk, the basis for his selection being that he's ideally suited by six furlongs these days and has tended to give his running of late when presented with ideal conditions. He has those today so could be set to give a good account.
16:10 - The most important thing in this handicap for three-year-olds is that all five stand their ground, the offer of two places being enough to narrow the field down to two. Our selections come from quite different angles, Faffa being a slow learner who might have been let in lightly on his handicap debut, while Sewn Up has plenty of form in the book and has been more reliable than most up to now- indeed, he's yet to run a bad race in three outings over this C&D.
16:40 - The last race has been made slightly easier by the dropping out of Lean On Pete, though a final-leg banker still probably isn't the way to go. One Scoop Or Two comes close to giving us an opportunity to go 'all in' such is the run of form he's currently enjoying, but he still has his quirks and the remarkably consistent Strike Force (a short-head behind One Scoop Or Two last time) offers as sound an fall-back option as you could wish for.
