Timeform UK SmartPlays: Wednesday October 7

Two of our SmartPlays run at Nottingham on Wednesday

Sky Cape still appears to be on a fair mark, is lightly raced and open to further improvement, so he looks to hold strong claims here.

Timeform provide you with two bets from Nottingham and one from Kempton on Wednesday.

Nottingham 16:10 - Fei Kuai

The well bred Fei Kuai showed improved form when getting off the mark at Chepstow, and she is of obvious interest stepping into handicap company on a lenient-looking mark. Fei Kuai won with a fair bit in hand last time, has a pedigree which suggests she may do better and is in the right hands to progress, so she may prove difficult to beat on her handicap bow.

Nottingham 16:45 - Green Light

Green Light was a winner over C&D in May and has been catching the eye in defeat since. Ralph Beckett's charge met trouble in running at Haydock in August, shaping like the second best horse in the race, and he has simply been given far too much to do on his recent outings, left poorly placed as the races have developed. He remains well handicapped and will have no problems with conditions riding on the soft side.

Kempton 19:55 - Sky Cape

The lightly-raced Sky Cape has been narrowly denied on his last two starts, collared close home at both Chelmsford and Wolverhampton, but he didn't appear to do anything wrong under pressure, just unlucky to bump into a couple of strong finishers. Sky Cape still appears to be on a fair mark, is lightly raced and open to further improvement, so he looks to hold strong claims here.
