Salisbury 16:00 - Raw Impulse
Raw Impulse built on his Nottingham maiden success when finishing a fine second on handicap debut at Newmarket (strong form) and he is better than he showed at Goodwood last time, looking a little unbalanced at a crucial stage. Clive Cox's three-year-old is unexposed, remains open to further improvement and can take advantage of a lenient-looking handicap mark.
Salisbury 17:35 - Burning Desire
Burning Desire was a very expensive yearling purchase (€800,000) and hinted at ability in maidens, doing enough to suggest that he may be well handicapped starting out for the Richard Hughes yard. He is open to plenty of progress having made just the three starts so far, whilst the switch to handicaps, move in yard and step up in trip may also acts as catalysts for improvement, so he is worth chancing.
Kempton 19:40 - Pure Diamond
Pure Diamond failed to meet expectations in the May Hill at Doncaster but she had previously created a fantastic impression when running away with a maiden over this C&D and she will take plenty of beating if back in similar form. Pure Diamond shaped as if amiss at Doncaster, but she has to be given another chance, so impressive was she when slamming a subsequent winner with the minimum of fuss.
