Nottingham hosts the final of its Middle Distance Series at 15:45. Three-year-old Raise Your Gaze is fancied to take it. He cosily brushed aside his rivals at Sandown last month, despite being denied a clear run at a crucial stage, and is taken to defy a 6-lb rise for his in-form yard. Donny Rover and Excellent Puck rate the main dangers.
The sprint towards the end of Salisbury's card (17:00) is competitive, quite a few need considering. Slip Sliding Away is the one we're especially interested in, though. He has been running well in better races than this so earns the vote. Royal Brave and Panther Patrol both arrive at the top of their game and they head the dangers.
The mile contest at Newcastle that follows hot on the heels (17:10) is ostensibly more open still, but we've a fairly strong fancy. Jay Kay came unstuck in his hat-trick bid over C&D in August, but that was his third run in a short space of time, so it would come as no surprise were he to regain the progressive thread following a break despite his revised mark. Woody Bay and Venutius head the list of dangers.
