Sakhee's Pearl can get backers off to a good start in the 18:10. Last seen when finishing a slightly-disappointing fourth over C&D, she nevertheless travelled up well to challenge before finding little that day, giving the impression that she may have needed the run. Given a short break since, she reappears off a 2 lb lower mark now, and remains relatively unexposed over this 10f trip.
In the 19:10 it may pay to side with Venetian View. Handicap debutant Handsome Ransom will no doubt be popular but his opening mark looks high enough, and Venetian View has performed with credit on all three of his starts at Kempton, winning twice and finishing strongly having been poorly placed on his last run a fortnight ago (1m). With the potential to do better now tackling an extra 2f, Gary Moore's gelding looks overpriced and can go better than his odds suggest.
Finally, Alfraamsey looks worth sticking with in his bid to complete a hat-trick of Flat wins in the 20:40. Sheena West's gelding scored twice at Lingfield on the level last month, and shaped as if still in good form when fourth over hurdles at Stratford recently. Another bold bid looks likely, and he is fancied to pick up where he left off a few weeks ago.
