Triple Charm progressed well to win three times between October and February and was not disgraced on her latest start when fourth at Kempton. However, with the testing conditions a complete unknown for the four-year-old, it may be worth chancing proven soft ground performer Space Station (15:40), who is taken to come on for last month's reappearance. The six-year-old has won on a soft surface and ran well in fourth on his only start on heavy. He was below par at Lingfield last month, but his overall record suggest that he needs a run to put him straight and, with the usual blinkers reapplied here, a better performance can be expected.
Osgood (16:40) can hardly be described as reliable but, on his return to the Flat, is worthy of the utmost respect given he is well treated and proven under these conditions. The five-year-old's last win in this sphere came last June on heavy going at Chepstow, allowed to dictate over his five rivals before winning by three-quarters of a length. There is a good chance that he will get his own way in front here, as none of those in opposition are confirmed front-runners, and he looks more than capable of running a big race.
Moving on to Kemtpon's evening card, where Sir Fredlot (18:05) is taken to make a winning debut for Charles Hills having being trained by Peter Winkworth for his three starts as a juvenile. The pick of his efforts last season was when he finished second to Amazing Storm at Windsor, stepping up on his debut to draw away from the field and finding only the winner too good. All three races that Sir Fredlot has contested are proving to be solid, with a number of winners emerging from each, and, whilst a reproduction of main rival School Fees' reappearance will see her bang there, Sir Fredlot is selected to come out on top.
