There is plenty to like about Carragold, who should be too good for his rivals and he looks a decent bet at the current odds.
Isdaal continues on the upgrade and the 18:20 at Newbury could provide her with the perfect opportunity to complete a hat-trick having won at Chester and Kempton in recent starts. Her victory at Chester on her latest outing was a career best, and there is every reason to believe that she can continue on an upward curve, the five-year-old mare being relatively lightly-raced on turf. It would be a surprise if Isdaal were not on the premises come the finish.
Shena's Dream represents powerful connections in the 20:00 at Newbury and she can maintain her unbeaten record after making an encouraging debut at Pontefract. This evening's contest will mark her handicap debut, and Shena's Dream looks certain to progress, making her a very likely winner of what may not be the most competitive of handicaps. The step up in trip to a mile is also likely to help Shena's Dream judging by the way she shaped over six furlongs last time, off the bridle for a while before responding to pressure and, with Ryan Moore in the saddle, the pair combine to form our Bet of the Day.
