The 17:05 at Salisbury looks a fairly open affair based on Timeform ratings, with just 4 lb separating the whole field, but it might be worth siding with Korngold, who should relish the testing conditions on offer this afternoon. John Dunlop's inmate has proven himself to be very consistent, producing form close to his best on his last six starts, and his first two runs of this season are likely to have ensured that he arrives at Salisbury in peak condition.
Prince of Thebes has an excellent chance at Brighton (20:00) this evening on his second outing since switching back to turf, after running consistently on all-weather throughout the winter. Despite his last five wins having come on the artificial surface, Prince of Thebes looks worth backing in a contest where there are question marks surrounding some of his rivals, especially after a solid run over C&D last time out.
