Fruit Pastille broke her maiden at the tenth attempt last time out at Lingfield and appears to have a good chance of following up in the 16:15 at Brighton. She and the runner-up were a long way clear that day and she gave the impression that a step up in trip to could bring about improvement. This should help her defy a 4lb rise and see off the unexposed This Is The Day.
Course specialist Fairy Mist should again go well in Brighton's 17:15. Ed De Giles' horses are running well and the booking of Oisin Murphy is a clear positive so a good effort can be expected. Ridge Ranger is also entitled to progress from a winning debut and is the main danger.
