Only Ten Percent should be capable of landing a Southwell four-timer when he goes to post for the 15:45. Only Ten Percent has looked on an upward curve recently, winning all three of his most recent starts and, with conditions in his favour once again this afternoon, it would be folly to back against the four-year-old gelding. Only Ten Percent won with plenty in hand last time and shaped as though another hike in the handicap would be insufficient to prevent him from completing the four-timer.
Eijaaz (18:40) seldom runs a bad race at Catterick, having won at the course on no fewer than seven occasions and, with stamina a question mark for several of his main rivals today, the Geoffrey Harker-trained veteran looks a good back proposition this evening. Eijaaz has won on two of his last three starts over C&D, a minor blip coming on soft ground on his penultimate start, but he can be expected to figure in the finish once again. Flying Applause is likely to pose the biggest threat, that one top on Timeform ratings, but Eijaaz's admirable attitude should hold him in good stead and he represents value.
Pocket Too looks thrown in based on some of his previous flat form and a return to that level would be far too much for his rivals in this evening's 19:40 at Catterick. He's looked rejuvenated over hurdles of late, winning each of his last two starts (first for Karen George), and looks a most interesting runner off a BHA mark of just 50 on his first Flat outing for Victor Dartnall. Joe Fanning is in the saddle, and the pair form Tuesday's Bet of the Day.
