The form of the Brocklesby has worked out well and Cock of The North, who was well on top at the line, is likely to relish Sandown's stiff five furlongs, while he has been granted a favourable draw against the far rail.
Brown Panther looked as good as ever when winning the Ormonde Stakes at Chester on his reappearance, finding plenty to see off a very smart rival in Hillstar, and he can take a strong renewal of the Group 3 Henry II Stakes (19:15). Brown Panther announced himself on the staying scene with victory in the Goodwood Cup, seemingly relishing the step up to two miles as he raced prominently in a well-run race and kept up the gallop to score by three and a half lengths. With testing conditions sure to put the emphasis firmly on stamina, Brown Panther could prove difficult to pass.
