Tarraco is thrown in on his French form, but a much safer option on current evidence is Tinelyra (12:40), who went close at Leicester 2 starts back, and gives the impression he can do better when everything clicks. Genny Wren is less exposed than most, and was running creditably when unseating on her chase debut, so is also worth consideration. The selection has finished in the frame on all completed starts for current yard, and again well backed when a good second at Leicester in this headgear in November. Let down by jumping last time, but remains on a workable mark.
Just Benny (13:10) has gone well fresh before and can finally notch a first career success here, most likely at the main expense of Boomtown. The nine-year-old is a lightly-raced maiden hurdler who showed he still retains ability when second off this mark in 3m Uttoxeter handicap in May. Capable when fresh and ran well on testing ground earlier in career.
An interesting clash featuring 5 previous winners and 3 mares that were placed on their respective debut. Most are open to progress, but Ludlow winner Tara Mist (15:10) is marginally preferred in favour of Bitofapuzzle and Rouquine Sauvage. The selection is from a family that her yard knows well, and lot to like about manner of victory on debut at Ludlow a month ago, keeping on very well. Good test at this trip will suit and she's just about the form pick.
