Timeform UK SmartPlays: Sunday November 9

Two of our SmartPlays on Sunday run at Ffos Las

Timeform bring you bets from the national hunt meetings at Ffos Las and Market Rasen on Sunday...

Ffos Las 13:00 - Oscarteea

Oscarteea made it third time lucky in bumpers when getting off the mark at Chepstow, showing useful form in the process, and he was highly tried on both subsequent starts, his latest effort being a highly-creditable mid-field effort in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. He has been found a nice opportunity on his hurdling bow and should prove too good.

Market Rasen 13:45 - American Legend

American Legend couldn't quite follow up his Worcester success at Exeter, finishing runner-up, but he enhanced his reputation, impressing with how strongly he travelled, and the manner in which he rallied having conceded first run. He remains well treated from just a 3 lb higher mark, and could yet do even better in this sphere, still relatively unexposed having made only five starts over fences. Plenty of his rivals have questions to answer, but American Legend arrives in good form and likely to give a good account.

Ffos Las 15:10 - Major Milborne

Major Milborne failed to win over hurdles, displaying just fairly useful form, but he did show an aptitude for handling testing ground, and that is likely to stand him in good stead at Ffos Las on Sunday. Major Milborne made his chasing debut at Wincanton from a stiff-looking mark, however he ran creditably, even if he did finish last of three, not beaten too far. The ground was on the fast side that day, which didn't play to the strengths of Major Milborne, so he should do better in this sphere with the benefit of that outing behind him and conditions to suit here.
