Timeform UK SmartPlays: Sunday June 29

Racing comes from Salisbury on Sunday

"Percy Alleine looks the most likely winner given he’s already triumphed at this track on his racecourse debut..."

Timeform bring you their three best bets from Windsor and Salisbury on Sunday...

We kick off proceedings with a five-furlong handicap from Windsor (14:30) and Innocently looks the one to keep on side; he was progressive as a juvenile, winning three times including a nursery at York and there was a lot to like about his seasonal reappearance at Ripon. That was in a handicap against older horses and he put up an extremely good showing to finish fourth; he competes today off the same mark and is sure to strip a lot fitter. Now back amongst his own age group he looks to have an excellent chance if able to build on last time and is taken to do so at the expense of the in-form pair of Groundworker and Al Senad.

We head to Salisbury for the next contest under consideration, a conditions race for two-year-olds over six furlongs (15:40). It looks a competitive race with few who can be ruled out with any confidence, but Percy Alleine looks the most likely winner given he's already triumphed at this track on his racecourse debut. That was over a furlong shorter and although he was beaten at Windsor in the meantime it wasn't by far, and the form of that race has worked out particularly well. He looks sure to be suited by the step up in trip this afternoon and has the look of a highly progressive performer. Room Key also goes there with a live chance and Among Angels ran well at Ascot last week, but the selection is hard to ignore.

We return to Windsor for our final bet of the day which comes in a handicap over a mile (16:35) and The Third Man looks a potentially useful prospect and appeals as the best bet. He made a wining start at Lingfield in December and turned in a highly promising display on his handicap bow at Newbury on his return this season, finishing fourth and shaping as if there was a good deal more to come. He rates as highly unexposed given he's had just the two starts and looks the type who can go on to make a significant impact in this sphere. The likes of Hedge End and the similarly unexposed Lacock rate as dangers in what looks a competitive race for the grade but the selection can continue on his upward curve and record his second win in just three starts.
