Trojan Sun ran out a game winner of a three-mile handicap chase at Huntingdon from a 2 lb higher mark last season and, although he has since failed to match that form, he has started to look well weighted again. Trojan Sun was ultimately well beaten on his return at Wincanton but he should be a fitter proposition this time around and can go close granted a clear round.
Southwell 12:35 - Debt To Society
Debt To Society was in fine form over hurdles during the summer, winning sellers at Uttoxeter and Worcester, and he showed himself to be well treated over fences when passing the post first a race that was ultimately declared void at Sedgefield. Allowed to run off the same mark, Debt To Society is clearly fairly treated and can cash in here.
Southwell 13:45 - Delgany Demon
Neil King has been amongst the winners recently and his representative Delgany Demon looks to hold strong claims in the extended three-mile novices' hurdle. Delgany Demon is a half-brother to the fair staying chaser Rainbow Tree, and he has shaped as if stamina will prove to be his forte. Delgany Demon achieved a fairly useful level in bumpers, winning at Towcester in heavy ground, and he produced an encouraging performance when thrown in at the deep end on his hurdling debut at Ascot behind some potentially smart rivals. He wasn't disgraced on his return at Towcester and ought to be a different proposition faced with this longer trip.
