André Fabre has a 60% strike rate with his three-year-old runners in the UK in the last five years and Fintry looks likely to improve this impressive figure in the 15:15 at Sandown. This well-bred filly has been steadily progressive in four starts and took her form to another level when comfortably winning the Group Two Prix Sandringham at Chantilly when last seen. She beat some Group One performers that day and is still entitled to plenty of improvement. All this combines to make Fabre's filly an attractive prospect for today's contest and she should score. Zurigha can win the race for second.
Sir Michael Stoute has been running at almost 45% at Beverley in the last five years and sends Scallop to contest the 16:15. This unexposed filly made it two out of three at Nottingham last time and did well considering she was unsuited by the steady gallop. The presence of the front-running Yenhaab should ensure a good pace here and help the likeable Scallop land the hat-trick before moving on to better things.
Ryan Moore has been operating at almost 20% at Sandown in the last five years and his skills should help Tercel recover from a disappointing run to take the 17:00. Moore was clearly not happy aboard the Sir Michael Stoute-trained gelding when the pair were last seen finishing seventh of eight at Salisbury and he is better judged on his previous effort when landing a C&D maiden from a subsequent winner. The front pair were well clear that day and Tercel has enough scope to see off the promising Zain Empire.
