Oratory (16:30 Ayr) landed back-to-back handicaps for Paul Midgley last June, but he hasn't troubled the judge in nine starts since and is on his fourth change of yard with the switch to Elaine Burke. Nevertheless, he's dropped to a dangerous-looking mark now, fully 10 lb below his last winning one over this course-and-distance, and the early support in the market for him suggests a big run is expected today.
Griffin Point (18:00 Windsor) improved for the fitting of blinkers around this time last year, not finishing out of the first two places in seven outings on turf between July and early-October, and she could be developing along the same lines this term, finding the runner-up spot in this headgear at Chepstow and Ffos Las in recent weeks. She bumped into the thriving Nafa at the latter venue and there's every chance she can go one better here.
Zeyran (20:00 Windsor) found the frame in a trio of ten-furlong maidens, but her form has taken off dropped back in trip in handicaps, dotting up at Yarmouth in late-May before just being nabbed on the line by the unbeaten and progressive Ribbons at Newmarket. There's almost certainly more to come from this daughter of Galileo, and she can give weight away to her six rivals here.
