Timeform UK SmartPlays: Monday January 27

Today's final selection goes at Wolverhampton.

"Run It Twice remains feasible treated and is of obvious interest back at this trip..."

Timeform advise two bets at Ayr and one on the all-weather at Wolverhampton on Monday...

Ayr's 13:45 looks a pretty strong race for the grade, with Cottiers Den still open to improvement if none the worse for his fall last month and Paudi The Punter feared if he's strong in the market having on just his second outing for Gordon Elliott. The best option however looks to be Lord Fox, a point winner who is already better over fences than he was over hurdles, pulling clear with easy subsequent winner Arc Warrior when second over C&D earlier this month. He's 7 lb higher now but is very much one to be interested in at this level, and seems sure to go well.

Shanroe Society is interesting with A.P. McCoy booked having travelled over from Ireland but preference is for the Lucinda Russell-trained Rhymers Stone (14:15), a bumper winner who improved for the fitting of cheekpieces at Newcastle last time, notching his first success over hurdles. An 8 lb rise may not be enough to stop him following up.

Our final bet goes in the last at Wolverhampton, a handicap staged over seven furlongs. The David Evans-trained Run It Twice looked as good as ever when adding another couple of C&D victories to his CV in December and can be forgiven his latest run over an inadequate six furlongs at Lingfield, never being able to land a blow. He remains feasible treated and is of obvious interest back at this trip.

Timeform UK SmartPlays:
Back Lord Fox @ 4.84/1 in the 13:45 at Ayr
Back Rhymers Stone @ 3.5551/20 in the 14:15 at Ayr
Back Run It Twice @ 6.611/2 in the 17:40 at Wolverhampton
