Plumpton 14:30 - Bally Sands
Bally Sands looked all set to win at Ludlow before his inexperienced rider almost took the wrong course, but, back under professional handling, he should be able to gain compensation here. Bally Sands has been turned out quickly, and that is a slight concern, but he is clearly well treated able to race off the same mark, and his yard could yet draw a bit of extra improvement.
Wolverhampton 14:55 - Haaf A Sixpence
This is a tight-knit affair but Haaf A Sixpence is back down to his last winning mark and shaped with enough encouragement last time to earn the vote. Haaf A Sixpence hasn't won since November 2013, but he's been lightly raced in the interim and his latest couple of efforts have smacked of a horse working his way back to full fitness following an extended absence. He is weighted to go well and the booking of Adam Kirby is an obvious positive.
Wolverhampton 16:25 - Beta Tauri
Beta Tauri clearly isn't one of her powerful stable's leading lights, but she has shown gradual improvement with each start and her chances are improved by having a good-value 5 lb claimer in the saddle. Beta Tauri was initially tried over seven furlongs but her latest effort over six highlights that she is best kept to sprinting for now, and she should make an impact in a race that doesn't look especially strong.
