The unexposed Free Rein was possibly unsuited by conditions when last seen finishing last of seven on handicap debut at Newmarket and can make amends in the 14:30 at Warwick. Previous to her Newmarket flop she won in the manner of a useful filly at Newcastle, beating a subsequent winner with the first two well clear. She has shaped as though today's six furlongs could suit and, with Richard Kingscote a positive jockey booking, she looks a viable option in today's company. The in-form Ginzan should give her most to think about.
With Ninjago having come out, Goldream rates a solid selection in the 15:40 at Warwick. This smart handicapper has thrived this year, recording two victories and not finishing out of the first four in five starts. He was an excellent second to the exciting Muthmir on his penultimate outing and can be relied upon to give his running. Last year's Stewards' Cup winner Rex Imperator would be a danger on his best form, but has shown very little this term and so it is Goldream who gets the nod.
Michael Bell's Hala Hala may not have looked the most straightforward when just pipped at Yarmouth last time out, but finds herself well in at the weights in the 16:00 at Newcastle and can continue her recent resurgence. She was in poor form earlier this season and was hence eased by the assessor, however her yard as a whole was out of sorts at that time and she has since shown greater spark. With the return to seven furlongs seemingly in her favour, she should have enough to see off handicap debutant Inflection.
