Wind Star regained the winning thread for the first time since May 2009 when scoring at Brighton in June. Forced to switch wide having been dropped out that day, he was good value for his eventual length success that day and still appeals as being well treated in relation to his past exploits (placed off a mark of 88 in the past). His morning odds look fair, and he can complete a seasonal double in the 15:20.
Next up, Red Rhythm can get back to winning ways in the 15:50. Off the mark here over this five furlong trip in a first-time visor last month (runner-up has won since), the son of Starcraft was mugged on the line at Chepstow when attempting to follow up under a penalty three days later. Racing off his revised mark now, he nevertheless is fancied to gain due compensation and should give backers a decent run for their money.
Finally, Astra Hall looks worth keeping on side in her attempt to land a hat-trick in the 16:50. Ralph Beckett's filly stepped up on her form in maidens when landing handicaps the last twice, latterly over C&D. This will be the firmest ground she has encountered to date, but her rate of progression is most persuasive and she is fancied to continue in that vein.
