Timeform UK SmartPlays: Friday March 28

All three of today's bets go at Lingfield.

"Club House is by no means handicapped out of things and is fancied to get back on track..."

After sticking up two winners on the all-weather yesterday, Timeform turn their attention to Lingfield for Friday's three SmartPlays...

Six of the seven runners in the 14:30 tend to find winning difficult with the exception being Wishformore, who scored twice at Kempton last month. Her two subsequent efforts, when third at Wolverhampton and over C&D, have both confirmed that she remains in fine fettle, possibly not quite so well treated as she was but clearly still in form. She is by far the most solid proposition in this field and it would come as no surprise were she to add another success to her tally.

The 15:00 is quite a competitive handicap in which the Robert Mills-trained Club House is awarded a narrow vote. The four-year-old has been thriving in the last couple of months, scoring three times over C&D and twice running creditably in defeat, including when not seen to best effect dropped to seven furlongs on his latest outing. The suspicion is that he is by no means handicapped out of things and is fancied to get back on track with the return to this trip expected to be right up his street.

Picansort, Fair Value and O'Gorman all make some appeal in the 16:40 but the selection is Dangerous Age, who built up an impressive record on polytrack with five wins last year. She's arguably been unlucky not to add to her tally this year, notably so at Kempton in February, and she also shaped well in a decent race for the grade at Wolverhampton later that month. It was a touch disappointing that she couldn't win last time when well backed, but she remains of definite interest off this mark and can put that effort firmly behind her.
