More unexposed than many operating at this level, Croco Mister looks to have been found a good opportunity to register success in the 15:10 at Leicester. His latest effort, when finishing second on handicap debut, suggested that he was certainly capable of making an impact off his current mark and it was encouraging to see how strongly he stayed on after the last. Today he competes in a contest severely lacking depth, with most of the opposition having stern questions to answer, and it will be disappointing were he not able to capitalise.
With Corporal Maddox declared a non-runner, Light From Mars holds strong claims of landing the 15:30 at Wolverhampton. Once seen competing in some of the best and strongest handicaps of the season, Light From Mars no longer possesses that kind of ability, but he has shaped well on his last few starts, including when winning here three starts ago. He drops in grade here and commands a great deal of respect.
Light Burst, an impressive winner here on his penultimate start, looked as if he was still well ahead of his mark when scoring at Brighton last time, and he can complete the hat-trick in the 16:30 at Wolverhampton. He has to contend with a 9 lb rise in the weights, but the emphatic manner of the victory suggests that should not pose too much of a problem, and he possesses a better profile than many of his rivals.
