Musselburgh 15:25 - Handiwork
Handiwork posted easily his best effort on the Flat when justifying support at Catterick in October, and he also achieved a personal best over hurdles when finishing runner-up at Haydock last month on his only subsequent start. There should be more to come from Handiwork on the level this season as he still looks fairly treated in this sphere, and he's been found a good opportunity here.
Plumpton 15:45 - Boss des Mottes
The Sussex Champion Hurdle has attracted a good field this year, though ready preference is for the Dan Skelton-trained Boss des Mottes who looks progressive and can defy an 8-lb rise for a comfortable success at Fakenham last month. The strong-travelling Boss des Mottes goes through his races like a horse with plenty more to offer and he can take this step up in class in his stride.
Plumpton 17:25 - Dexter Benjamin
Dexter Benjamin shaped well when third on his recent handicap bow at Towcester, staying on strongly having still had plenty to do entering straight. This longer trip will suit and he looks capable of winning off this sort of mark, while the booking of Gold Cup-winning jockey Nico de Boinville is an obvious plus in this sort of contest.
