Ascot 13:30 - Communicator
Communicator is on a long losing run at present but he's put up plenty of creditable efforts and has slipped to a fair mark, so he looks to hold leading claims in this stayers' prize. Communicator ran well to finish third in the Challenge over a mile and a half at last year's Shergar Cup, but he should find this two-mile trip offering a more suitable test, and the presence of Jamie Spencer in the saddle is a positive.
Ascot 14:40 - Master The World
Master The World finished down the field at Goodwood last week but it's worth overlooking the performance as he was denied a clear run and wasn't persevered with once held. He'd previously been in good form, proving better than ever when winning at Newmarket, and can quickly get back on the right track under the excellent Pat Smullen. Unforgiving Minute has yet to shine on turf but it's too soon to pigeonhole him as just an all-weather performer, so he may offer the greatest danger.
Newmarket 17:15 - The Cashel Man
The Cashel Man was thwarted by Amour de Nuit at Lingfield last month but he enjoys an 8 lb pull in the weights and can exact his revenge on Sir Mark Prescott's charge. The Cashel Man arrived at Lingfield on the back of two wins and looked set to complete the hat-trick when hitting the front going well, but it's possible that he just idled a shade, leaving him vulnerable to Amour de Nuit's strong challenge. The Cashel Man is still lightly raced compared to most standards, may have a bit more to offer and looks sure to go close.
