There is racing from Ascot on Saturday

Timeform pick out their three best bets at Ascot on Saturday...

Waady - 13:50 Ascot

Waady ran well to make the frame in a Group 3 at Newbury last time (had Mirza just behind him when fourth) and should be able to get back to winning ways now dropping back in grade. Sir Robert Cheval is also likely to be on the premises if reproducing his latest C&D second from a BHA mark of 100.

Danzeno - 15:00 Ascot

Blue Point has the edge on ratings but seemed unsuited by softer conditions when only fourth behind Harry Angel in the Sprint Cup last time, so while this is a drop in grade, he does have something to prove (all form on good to firm or quicker). Danzeno will be fine with a bit of cut in the ground and could be the best option at the prices given that he shaped well when seventh in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last time when racing on the worst part of the track.

Makzeem - 15:35 Ascot

Makzeem's close relation Al Kazeem improved with age and he seems to have followed the same path, running a massive career best when winning at Newmarket at the end of September. He won that competitive handicap by over three lengths, and connections have wisely opted to turn him out quickly under a 6 lb penalty here. If he can replicate the same sort of form after a quick turnaround, he will be hard to beat. The likes of Mojito, Accidental Agent and Lord Glitters are all potential improvers and look some of the likely dangers.
